A stray female dog in Campinas, Brazil, (not Saudi Arabia as originally reported) is being called an “angel sent from the heavens” after the homeless pet saved the life of a newborn baby boy.The dog, which was scavenging for food in a garbage dump came across the newborn who still had the umbilical cord attached.



The smart dog gently carried the baby in its mouth out of the dump, walked a few hundred feet to the closest house and handed the baby over to helpful humans hands.



There, as if asking “please help him,” the dog showed the humans the baby and left him to their care.Those people then rushed the baby to the nearest hospital and doctors carefully cared for the tiny newborn. Medical representatives said the baby boy is in great condition and was unharmed by the dog.Local residents are in disbelief that a mother would be willing to throw her newborn in the trash just minutes after giving birth. Authorities are now looking for her, the worst mother ever.Thanks to this gentle stray dog, the baby boy is alive and well today.

Rhino transfer to Bardiya protested citing security

Almost one-and-a-half dozen organisations working for animal rights have started protesting the authority’s recent decision to transfer five rare one-horned rhinoceros from Chitwan National Park to Bardiya National Park.The Bardiya National Park is a protected area in Nepal that was established in 1988 as Royal Bardia National Park. Covering an area of 968 km2 (374 sq mi) it is the largest and most undisturbed national park in Nepal's Terai, adjoining the eastern bank of the Karnali River and bisected by the Babai River in the Bardiya District. Its northern limits are demarcated by the crest of the Siwalik Hills. The Nepalgunj-Surkhet highway partly forms the southern boundary, but seriously disrupts the protected area. Natural boundaries to human settlements are formed in the west by the Geruwa, a branch of the Karnali River, and in the southeast by the Babai River.

US warns of Mosul dam collapse in northern Iraq

The US embassy in Baghdad has warned the risk of the Mosul Dam collapsing is "serious and unprecedented" and has urged people to be ready to evacuate."We have no specific information that indicates when a breach might occur, but out of an abundance of caution, we would like to underscore that prompt evacuation offers the most effective tool to save lives of the hundreds of thousands of people," the security message said. If the dam burst, floodwaters could kill 1.47 million Iraqis living along the River Tigris, the embassy said. Iraq's prime minister has said precautions are being taken, but that such a scenario is "highly unlikely".

The United States warned its citizens to be ready to leave Iraq in the event of what it has said could be a catastrophic collapse of the country's largest hydro-electric dam near Mosul.

Update: Paragliders rescued alive in Pokhara mishap

All the nine paragliders who met with an accident in the valley have been rescued alive Tuesday afternoon. Seven paragliders had fallen in the Fewa Lake, one in Armala and another in Majheripatan after they lost control due to strong wind. The paragliders were competing in the Paragliding pre-World Cup and Open Nepal Paragliding Competition. The Paragliding Pre-World Cup kicked off in Pokhara on Saturday. Neha Pun – Yoruna Pun -R@pe and M#rder Case

The body of 19-year-old Yoruna Pun alias Neha was found in Naya Gaun, Pokhara today morning. Pun’s body was found in a half-naked state. Looking at the nature of the body, police has suspected that she was possibly murdered after being raped. The deceased’s body has a deep wound in the head and police’s preliminary investigation shows she was killed using a sharp weapon. Police Inspector Bed Prasad Joshi informed that investigation is on. He said that the body was placed at Western Regional Hospital for post mortem. Pun was an accountant at Smile Café in New Road, Pokhara. Her family had informed police after she did not return from work. Locals had informed police after seeing the body covered in a black cloth in an open area in a locality. Police suspects that Pun’s body was disposed at that place after she was murdered somewhere. Police has mobilized a team including sniffer dogs to look for perpetrators. -

मिडिया एनपी, काठमाडौं, १८ फागुन । अमेरिकाको क्यालिफोर्नियामा विना चालक चल्ने गुगल कार परीक्षणका क्रममा दुर्घटनामा परेको छ । परीक्षणको क्रममा एक बससँग ठोक्किन पुगेको बिबिसिले उल्लेख गरेको छ ।

आफैं चल्ने कार सार्वजनिक सडकमा अन्य सवारी साधनसँग ठोकिएको यो पहिलो घटना भएको पनि बताइएको छ । सो दुर्घटनाको माउन्ट भ्यूस्थित गुगलको मुख्यालयको आसपासमा दुई हप्ता अघि भएको हो । बिना ड्राइभर चल्ने गाडी बालुवाको बोराहरु नजिकबाट गइरहेको गाडीसँग ठोकिएको हो । दुर्घटनामा कसैलाई चोटपटक भने लागेको छैन ।

बसलाई ठक्कर दिने बेलामा गुगल कार तीन किलो मिटर प्रतिघण्टाको रफ्तारमा गुडेको थियो भने बस २४ किलो मिटरको प्रति घण्टाको गतिमा चलेको थियो । गुगल कारमा रहेका मानिसका अनुसार बसले गति कम गर्ने आफ्नो सोचाई गलत भएको बताएका छन् । उनले बसले गति कम गर्ने सोचाइका कारण सेल्फ ड्राइभिङ कम्प्युटर आफुले नचलाएको बताए । तर बस उही रफ्तारमा चलिरह्यो ।

Tara Air and carrying 23 people including two foreigners. Tara Air Viking 9N-AHH Twin Otter carrying 18 passengers and three crew members en route to Jomsom from Pokhara has been missing. The plane took off from Pokhara at 7:47 this morning. The passengers included two tourists, according to Police. Tara Air has said that it has received reports of a missing plane. It is not clear what caused the crash. But Dana VDC and adjoining areas were enshrouded in cloud of dust on Tuesday following dry landslides in Mt Annapurna South base .since Monday night. Locals have found the aircraft aflame in Dana VDC-2, Solighopte area. Shyam Pun, Lal Bahadur Pun, Nabin Khadka and Sher Bahadur Budhathoki along with a police man rushed to the crash site after a local of Rupse informed them.

चालक दलका सदस्यमा पाइलट रोशन मानन्धर, को–पाइलट विकेश नेमकुल र एयरहोस्टेस रमा रावल रहेको पोखरा विमानस्थलका प्रशासकीय अधिकृत काशिनाथ पौडेलले जानकारी दिएका छन ।

चालक दलका तीन सदस्य, दुई बालिकासहित १८ जना नेपाली र २ जना विदेशी नागरिकको मृत्यु भएको छ । विमानमा चालक दलका सदस्यसहित २३ जना रहेका थिए ।

You have to appreciate the man’s spine for going up against the colossal juggernaut that was Dilwale which had, on paper at least, all the ingredients to be a super blockbuster. Bhansali stuck to his guns and while the criticism about inaccurate depiction of history will never go away (most people probably wouldn’t have watched it if it was historically accurate), the director and the team involved with Bajirao Mastani deserve kudos for bagging nine awards including Best film, director, actor in a leading role, actress in a supporting role, choreography, costume, action, production design and best playback singer.

हिन्दुस्तान टाइम्सले मधेसलाई उचाल्दै लेख्यो”नेपाल-भारत सम्बन्ध देखावोटी- ओलीलाई स्वागत गर तर साबधान!” –

नेपालका प्रधानमन्त्रीको भ्रमणलाई दिल्लीले सबै राम्रो हुदैँछ भनेर देखाउने संकेतका रुपमा लिएको छ । नेपालका प्रधानमन्त्री केपी शर्मा ओली शुक्रबार ६ दिने दिल्ली भ्रमणका लागि भारत आइपुगेका छन् । दुई देशबीचको सम्बन्धमा तिक्तता देखिएको बेला उनको भ्रमण भएको छ । बितेको ६ महिना काठमाडाँैले दिल्लीलाई आफ्नो सार्वभौमसत्ता, संविधान निमार्णको प्रक्रियामा हस्तक्षेप गरेको र नाकाबन्दी लगाएर मानविय संकट उत्पन्न गराएको आरोप लगाएको छ । त्यस्तै तराईमा जारी आन्दोलनमा भारतले सहयोग गरेको काठमाडौँको आरोप छ । भारत विरुद्धको यो अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय अभियान नै हो । यसका लागि काठमाडौँले अन्य देशका राजधानीको पनि सहभागिता खोज्यो ।
नयाँ दिल्लीले काठमाडौँलाई मधेसमा जारी आन्तरिक द्धन्द्धलाई सम्बोधन नगरेको आरोप लगायो । भारत र नेपालबीच खुला सिमाना छ । दिल्लीले नेपालमा भइरहेको मानवअधिकार हननको विषयलाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मन्चमा समेत उठायो । चाईना कार्ड प्रयोग गर्ने प्रयासबाट चिन्तित नभएपनि नेपालमा भारत विरोधी सेन्टिमेन्ट उत्पन्न गराएको दिल्लीको आरोप छ ।
अहिले स्थिति नरम भएको छ र काठमाडौँ पुरानो शृंखलालाई बिर्सिएर अगाडि बढ्न चाहन्छ । तर, महत्वपूर्ण के छ भने गत सेप्टेम्बरमा संविधान जारी गरेपछि काठमाडौँले विश्वलाई दिएको म्यासेजलाई भारतले बिर्सिएको छैन् ।


चार बुदेँ रोडम्याप
गत डिसेम्बरमा सम्बन्धमा ‘रिएप्रोच’ गरिएको थियो । नेपाल सरकारले पहिला सुधारको कदम उठायो र लचकता देखायो । नेपाल सरकारले अच्चमित तवरले विरोधी मधेसीको सट्टा दिल्लीलाई चारबुदेँ प्रस्ताव पठायो । यसमा संविधान संशोधन गर्ने र मधेसीहरुको राजनैतिक प्रतिनिधित्व सुनिश्चित गर्ने कुरा समावेश छ । त्यस्तै सिमाङकन तथा नागरिकता सम्बन्धी विषयालाई समेत तीन महिनाभित्र टुंग्याउने उल्लेख छ । यतिबेलासम्म मधेसीहरुलाई यो प्रस्ताव यति अगाडि बढ्छ भन्ने लागेको थिएन । उनीहरुले अन्तरिम संविधानको शक्तिका आधारमा संशोधनको विषय निकालेका थिए । तर, दिल्लीले विपक्षी तथा मिडियाहरुबाट नेपाल मामिलामा चुकेको आरोप खेपिरहनुपरेको थियो । नेपालको पहाडी क्षेत्रमा भारत विरोधी मानसिकता बढ्दै गएको भन्दै राजनीतिक नेतृत्वलाई सम्बन्ध सुधार्नुपर्ने दबाब आइरहेको थियो । मधेसी नेताहरुको नेतृत्वप्रति पनि भारतले शंका ग¥यो । त्यस्तै, नेपाली जनताले पनि निरन्तरको अस्थिरताबाट मुक्ती पाएका थिए । त्यसका बाबजुद संस्थापन पक्षका केहीले अझैँ यो कोर्स कायम रहनुपर्ने समेत बताएका थिए किनकि समस्या जस्ताको तस्तै छ । मधेसीहरु फेरि आन्दोलनमा उत्रन सक्छन् किनकी संविधानमा अहिलेसम्म उनीहरुले अपनत्व देखेका छैनन् । यसका बाबजुद भारतीय विदेशमन्त्री सुष्मा स्वराज आफैँले नेपाल सरकारको संविधान संशोधन गर्ने प्रस्तावको स्वागत गरिन् । नेपाल सरकारले रोडम्यापअनुसार दुईवटा संशोधन प्रस्ताव पास गरेको छ । यसअनुसार कम्तिमा पनि १ सय ६५ सिटमध्ये ७९–८० सिट तराईले पाउनेछ । यदी यस्तो भयो भने यो सकारात्मक हो ।
अहिले तराईको आन्दोलन कमजोर भएको छ । त्यस्तै नाकाबन्दी खुलेको छ । तर सधैँका लागि यस्तो अवस्था नहुन सक्छ किनकि अझैँ पनि मधेसी सडक र मधेसी जनताले संविधानलाई आफ्नो मानेका छैनन् ।

देखावटी मित्रता
भारत र नेपाल दुबैले यस भ्रमणमार्फत आफ्नो सफलता देखाउन खोजेका छन् । दिल्लीले आफ्नो घरभित्रका आलोचकहरुलाई के देखाउन खोजेको छ भने नेपाल सँगको सम्बन्ध कहिल्यै बिग्रदैँन । ओलीले पहिला भारत आउनुपर्छ र उनलाई राम्रो व्यवस्थापनसहित उच्च सम्मान दिइनेछ ।
यता ओलीले नेपालमा आफ्नो राष्ट्रवादी अडान कायम राखेर पनि राष्ट्रपति भवनमा सम्मानित भएको देखाउन खोजेका छन् । अन्त्यमा दुबै पक्षले ‘अल इज वेल भन्नेछन् ।’
तर भारतले के संझनुपर्छ भने मधेसी र थारुहरुको समस्या समाधान भएको छैन् । ६ महिनासम्मको आन्दोलन अन्त्यपछि पुरै तराईका जनता उग्रवादी भएका छन् । उनीहरुले अब न काठमाडौँ भनेको सुन्न तयार छन् , न त दिल्लीले भनेकै मान्न तयार छ छन् । तराईको पुस्ता अब आफूलाई समान नागरिक सरह व्यवहार होस् भन्ने चाहन्छन् । पूरै नेपालको शक्ती–संरचनामा आफ्नो भूमिका खोज्दैछ । रोटी–बेटी सम्बन्ध टिकाउन नागरिकता सम्बन्धी कानून स्पष्ट भएको हेर्न चाहन्छ । आफ्नो जनसंख्या अनुसारको प्रतिनिधित्व खोज्न चाहन्छ । यदी यस्तो भएन भने फेरि नेपालको सिमा क्षेत्रमा समस्या सूरु हुनेछ । यसले भारतलाई पनि असर गर्नेछ ।
त्यसैले देश देशबीचको सम्बन्ध सुधार हुदैँ गर्दा दिल्लीले ओलीलाई विनम्रताका साथ के भन्न जरुरी छ भने अहिलेसम्म सबै ठीक भएको छैन् । समस्या सबै बिर्सन सकिन्न ।
भारतले नेपालको संविधानलाई महत्वपूर्ण कदम भनिरहदाँ के पनि काठमाडौँलाई सम्झाउनु आवश्यक छ भने यो संविधानले अझै फराकिलो दायरा खोज्नुपर्छ । धेरैले अपनत्व गर्नुपर्छ । तराईमा जारी समस्याको समाधान नभएसम्म फेरि आन्दोलन हुनसक्ने कुरा बुझाउनुपर्छ । नेपालले भारतलाई दिएको रोडम्यापलाई दिल्लीले नजिकबाट हेर्ने बताउनुपर्छ । भारतले ओलीको कार्यशैली तथा राजनैतिक समितिप्रति बेखुसी जनाउँदै यसमा सबै स्टेकहोल्डरको सहभागिता रहनुपर्ने बताउनुपर्छ । यस्तो हुन सकेन भने आन्तरिक अन्यौलताले फेरि दैत्य सम्बन्धमा असर गर्नेछ । ओलीलाई स्वागत गर र उनलाई राम्रो सम्मान देउ । तर सावधान रहनु र उनलाई ब्ल्याङ चेक नदिनू ।

नेपालका गोलरक्षक विकेश कुथु भन्छन- शिर ठाडो गरेर हिड्न सक्ने भयौं(ताजा अन्तर्वार्ता) -

काठमाडौँ ७ फागुन – भर्खरै भारतमा सम्पन्न भएको १२ औं दक्षिण एसियाली खेलकुद (साग) अन्तर्गत फुटबलमा नेपालाइ स्वर्ण जिताउनामा गोलरक्षक विकेश कुथु एक नायक साबित् भए । फाइनलमा उनले भारतीय खेलाडीको कडा प्रहारलाई सानदार बचावट गर्दै नेपाललाई उपाधि दिलाउन महत्वपुर्ण योगदान गरे। -

करिब ३ साता अघि नेपालले बंगलादेशमा सम्पन्न बंगबन्धु गोल्ड कप विजय गरे ताका पनि विकेश नेपाली टोलीको खरो गोलकिपर थिए।

सीन्धुपल्चोकको सामान्य गाउँ बाह्रविसे गाविस सुनकोसीमा हुर्किएका कुथुको यो सफलताले भुकम्पबाट पिडित बनेको सिन्धुपाल्चोक बासीलाई खुसी मनाउने अवसर मात्र दिएन उनको परिवार तथा सिंगो देशले समेत २३ बर्षपछी अन्तराष्ट्रिय उपाधि पायो ।
यसै सन्दर्भमा कान्तिपथका लागि देव चौलागाईंले विकेशसंग गरेको सम्पादित कुराकानी यस्तो छ –

सागको सेमी फाइनल जितेर फाइनल पुग्दा कस्तो अनुभव भयो ?

यो भन्दा पहिला पनि हामीले बंगबन्धुमा मल्दिभ्सलाइ हराई सकेका थियौ । हामीले यो सेमिफाइनललाई नै फाइनल मानेर खेलौं भनेर पहिले नै एक खालको तयारी गरेका थियौं । कोचले पनि हामीलाई यस्तै सलाह दिनुभयो ।

सेमी फाइनलबाट जब फाइनलमा पुग्दाको खुशी कसरी व्यक्त गर्नुहुन्छ ?

यो क्षणको खुशीको त सीमा नै छैन । इंडियासंग फाइनलमा पुग्दा यस्तो जोस आयो कि इंडियाले हम्रो देशलाइ यस्तो संकटमा पुर्यायो तै पनि हामीले सकारात्मक सोच राखेर नै मैदानमा राम्रोसंग खेल्यौं ।

जब फाइनलमा जीत निस्कियो, नेपाली दर्शकहरु रु कमै थिए , मैदानमा कस्तो लाग्यो त्यो बेला ?

सर्बप्रथम त भारतलाई उसकै घरेलु मैदानमा हराउन पाउनु महत्वपुर्ण ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि थियो । यसै कारण पनि हामी शीर ठाडो गरेर हिड्न सक्यौं ।

भारतले गरेको नाकाबन्दीको दबाब गोल हानेर फिर्ता गरियो भन्दा फरक नपर्ला त ?

हामीले भारतलाई देखाउन भन्दा पनि नेपाली जनताको लागि खेल्नु थियो र सफल पनि भैयो । यस्तो अवस्थामा पनि हामीले देशलाई खुसी दिन सकेकोमा गौरब लाग्छ ।

२३ वर्षपछि देशका नाममा स्वर्ण जितेर आउँदा नेपाली जनताले जुन उत्साहका साथ स्वागत गरे बाजागाजा सहित सम्मान गरे त्यो सम्मानलाइ कसरी सम्बोधन गर्नुहुन्छ ?

: यो त जनताले खेलाडी प्रति गरेको माया हो यसको कुनै मूल्य दिन सकिदैन । जनतालाइ पनि एक प्रकारको आवेग थियो जुन नाकाबन्दीको बदला कै रुपमा यो जीतलाइ लिएर पनि खुसी हुनु स्वाभाविक थियो ।

पुराना दिनहरु सम्झिदा यो अवस्थामा पुग्छु भन्ने लागेको थियो ?

अवस्य नै सानै बाट लाग्थ्यो कि मा कुनै न कुनै दिन देशको लागि खेल्छु, जीत दिलाउछु । यो मेरो सपना नै थियो आज पुरा गरेर सबैलाइ देखाएँ ।

म्याच फिक्सिंगको आरोप लागेको छ अगाडिको टोलिलाइ क भन्नु हुन्छ ?

यसको बारेमा चाहिं मलाई त्यस्तो धेरै थाह भएन जे भए पनि हामीले प्रमाणित गर्यौ कि अझै पनि फुटबल मरेको छैन भनेर ।

अपराध महाशाखाले फिक्सिंग गरेको भनेर समात्यो र यसले हौसला मिलेपछि यो खेल नेपालले जित्यो भनेर भानिन्छ नि ?

यसमा चाही दाइहरुले बदमासी गरेको भए कारबाही हुनु नै पर्यो र यस्तो होइन भने सम्मान साथ फर्काउनु पर्छ भन्ने मलाइ लाग्छ र अहिलेको टीममा सबै साथीहरुको खेल राम्रो छ कुनै लाइन पनि कमजोर छैन हाम्रो त्यसैले गोल स्कोर गर्न सफल भएका हौँ ।

फुटबलमा प्रेरणाको श्रोत कसलाई मन्नुहुन्छ ?

ममा , फुपू , दाइ, आमा, बुवा अनि मरो सबै परिवार आफन्त सबै जना नै हुनुहुन्छ सबैलाइ उत्तिकै मानेको छु ।

शिक्षा कति सम्म पुर्याउनु भयो ?

ब्याचलर रनिंग छु ।

प्रेममा परेको भन्ने सुनिन्छ नि कुथु जी ?

….हो कुरा साँचो नै हो तर नाम भने खुलाउन अलिक गारो भयो ।

विकेश फुटबलको हिरो बनेपछि त धेरै फोन आउने केटिहरुले प्रपोज गर्ने कत्तिको भएको छ ?

धेरै नै छ यस्तो चाहि कसै कसैले त ‘आई लव यू’ नै भन्छन सिधै तर मैले यसलाई सकारात्मक रुपमा लिने गरेको छु, फेंनको माया स्वरूप लिएको छु अन्यथा मैले सोच्दिन ।

नेपाली फुटबल विकासको लागि क गर्न सकिन्छ ?

Evening of International Song and Dance

The show started with beautiful renditions of classical Indian singing by Sangeet, in which we were given a glimpse of the richness the eastern culture has acquired through its history. It was followed by religious performances of Praise Gospel Choir. The transition from eastern to western traditional elements in a matter of minutes just exemplified what was to come later. The show continued with heartfelt covers of a Nepali love song and a Pakistani song by the duo of Samik Adhikari and Animesh Singh.

Following their traditions of previous years, The Haitian Student Association, The Indo-Pak-Nepal Club, A Taste of Africa Students Association and The Asian American Student Union all presented their cultural dances in front of the audience. A Taste of Africa Students Association danced to the traditional songs from Nigeria, Zambia and Ivory Coast. The beats from the Bhangra number of Panjabana once again took us to the cultural roots of India and Pakistan. The atmosphere turned more playful with a beautiful Nepali dance by the Indo-Pak-Nepal club as the dancers swiftly moved through different folk songs. Horo, a traditional Bulgarian line dance performed during weddings, new year and national holidays, was performed elegantly by a group of Bulgarian students. The constant cheering the dancers received showed how the audience were enjoying the mixture of traditional moves from around the world.

Unlike Nehru in India – who spoke about secularism at mass meetings, in his letters to chief ministers and in Parliament – Nepal’s political elite went missing in action after introducing the concept. And this left room for doubts, misconceptions, and a lot of conceptual ambiguity. -

स्वर्णपदक दिलाएको नेपाली यु २३ फुटबल टोलीको स्वागतका लागि राष्ट्रिय झन्डासहित बुधबार त्रिभुवन अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विमानस्थल पुगेका कीर्तिपुरका अनन्त बोलखी राष्ट्रपतिले भनेजस्तै उत्साहित र हर्षित भेटिए । राष्ट्रिय झन्डासहित आएका १९ वर्षीय बोलखीले यो जितले निराशाको कालो बादल चिर्दै आशाको किरण छरेको सुनाए । ‘अब हामी पनि सक्छौं भन्ने भावना पलाएको छ,’ उनले भने, ‘अगाडिको बाटो अझै उज्यालो छ ।’

फाइनलमा भारतविरुद्ध प्रकाश बुढाथोकीले प्रहार गरेको फ्री किकले रोवर्टो कार्लोसको सम्झना दिलायो, च्यासलबाट आएका नवीन महर्जनले भने, ‘त्यो गोल साँच्चिकै उत्कृष्ट थियो ।’ जतिसुकै राम्रो खेले पनि अन्तमा गोल गर्न नसक्ने नेपाली टिम झेल्दै आएका दर्शक मौकामा चौका हान्ने खेलाडी पाएकोमा गौरव गर्छन् । सबै गोल राम्रा छन्, खेल उत्कृष्ट छ, महर्जनले थपे, त्यसभन्दा बढी अझै अगाडि बढ्छ भन्ने आशा जागेको छ । कार्लोसका फ्यान महर्जनले अब त्यो स्थान प्रकाश बुढाथोकीले लिएको सुनाए ।

अन्य खेलकुदका स्टारले पनि नेपाली फुटबल टिमको विजयमा उत्सव मनाए। साग फुटबलको फाइनलमा नेपाल र भारत भिडिरहँदा नेपाली क्रिकेटर एकैठाउँ भेला भएर टेलिभिजनमा खेल हेरे र उपाधि जित्दा उनीहरुले एकसाथ उत्सव मनाए । नेपाली क्रिकेट टोलीका कप्तान पारस खड्काले आम नेपालीसरह आफूहरु पनि जितमा खुसी भएको सुनाए । फुटबलको यो विजयले समग्र खेलकुद क्षेत्रमै तरंग ल्याएको उनले सुनाए ।

सोमबारको विजयको महत्व बुधबार विजेता खेलाडीको स्वागतमा सडकमा ओर्लिएका सर्वसाधरणको भिडले दर्साएको थियो । एयरपोर्टबाट तिलगंगा, गौशाला, रातोपुल, ज्ञानेश्वर, कमलपोखरी हुँदै अगाडि बढेको नेपाली टिमको र्या लीलाई सडकका दुवै छेउ बसेका सर्वसाधारणले नेपाली झन्डा देखाउँदै स्वागत गरेका थिए । फुटबल टिम पुतलीसडक, प्रदर्शनी मार्ग, सहिदगेट, न्युरोड, वीर अस्पताल हुँदै रंगशालामा पुग्दा सिंगो सहर हर्षित देखिन्थ्यो ।

खेलसँग राष्ट्रियता जोडिएको छ, त्यसैले सबै नेपाली खुसी भएका हुन्, स्वागत र्यागलीमा सहभागी बालाजुका सन्तोष भट्टले भने, ‘पदक जितेको रातदेखि अहिलेसम्म उत्तिकै खुसी लागेको छ ।’रिलायन्स इन्टरनेसनल एकडेमीमा कक्षा १२ मा अध्यनरत सोना थापा पनि मेसीलाई औधी मन पराउँछिन् । तर केही दिनयता उनको खेलको हिरो फेरिएको छ । ‘अब मलाई अनन्त तामाङ मन पर्न थालेको छ,’ उनले भनिन्, ‘उसको खेल हेर्दा रमाइलो लाग्छ ।’

Farmer Rides Pig Along Busy Road in China

An elderly man who has raised pigs for 30 years has been seen riding his pig around streets and towns in China, after becoming too sick to walk.

The 68-year-old pig farmer from Chongqing in China rides a hog which weighs 250 kg and stands at about 3 feet tall.He started riding it when an attack of bronchitis made him too sick to walk, which made him attempt to ride the pig.

North Korea Plotting Terror Attack on South

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is reportedly preparing to launch a terror attack against South Korea, according to top officials in Seoul. In a televised message, senior South Korean presidential official Kim Sung-woo said North Korea’s spy agency has begun work to implement Kim Jong Un’s order to “muster anti-South terror capabilities that can pose a direct threat to our lives and security.”He said the possibility of North Korean attacks “is increasing more than ever” and asked for quick passage of an anti-terror bill in parliament.Worries over the north continue to grow after its recent nuclear test and rocket launch earlier this year. South Korean intelligence officials say Un’s spy agency has started to implement his order to carry out cyber and other attacks on South Korea The North has a history of attacking the South. In 2010, the North fired on the island, killing four South Koreans — and in 1987 they bombed a South Korean passenger plan that killed all 115 people on board. -

हात गोडामा राम्ररी २्३ पटक नीमको तेल लगाएमा हैजाले गोडा बाउँडिएको ठीक हुन्छ ।
शीत पित्तमा
नीमको तेलमा कपुर हालेर मालिस गर्नाले चिसोबाट हुने पित्त, खटिराहरु ठीक हुन्छ ।
वात रक्तमा

डण्डीफोर
नीममा एन्टी इंफ्लेमेट्री तत्व पाइन्छ, नीमको रसले चाया, डण्डीफोरआदिलाई नियन्त्रण गर्नुका साथै यसको नियमित प्रयोगले भविष्यमा समेत यसबाट मुक्ति दिलौदछ। नीमको जूस रसले अनुहार तथा शरीरको छालाको रंग निखार्नमा बिशेष भूमिका खेल्दछ ।
हृदयघात
यो नीमको जूस महिनामा १० दिन सेवन गर्ने हो भने यसले हृदयघातको सम्भाव्यतालाई समेत निर्मुल नै पारी दिन्छ ।
पिलिया
नीमको पातहरुको रस र सुद्ध महलाई २स्१ृदुई भागे नीमको रस र एक भाग मह अनुपातमा मिलाएर पिउनाले पिलिया भएको व्यक्तिहरुलाई फाइदा गर्दछ।

यसको साथै छाला सम्बन्धि रोगहरु जस्तैस् एक्जिमा, स्मल पक्स आदिमा पनि नीमको जूस पिउनाले त्यस्ता रोगहरुलाई निर्मुल पर्दछ । नीम एउटा रगत शुद्ध पार्ने अचुक औषधि हो। यसले शरीरमा हुने खराब कोलेस्ट्रोल घटाउने तथा नष्ट गर्ने काम गर्दछ ।

गिजाबाट रगत आउने रोग
पयारिया, गिजाबाट रगत आउने जस्तो रोगलाई नीमको पात वा बोक्रालाई एउटा भाडोमा पानी सहित हालेर रात भरी राख्ने र बिहान त्यो पानीले कुल्ला गर्नाले पयारिया र गिजाबाट रगत आउने जस्तो रोगमा निकै फाइदा हुन्छ। यसले गिजा र दाँत लाई एकदम बलियो र स्वास्थ्य बनाउद छ । नीमको फूलले पने निकै फाइदा गर्दछ। नीमको फुललाई मजाले कडापानी बनाएर पिउनाले हाम्रो शरीरलाई निकै फाइदा गर्दछ। नीमको डाँठले नित्य दत्युन गर्नाले दाँत भित्र हुने बिभिन्न प्रकारको जीवाणु हरुलाई नष्ट गरिदिन्छ र दाँत र गिजालाई चम्किलो, स्वास्थ्य र बलियो बनाउनुका साथै मन लाई समेत प्रसन्न बनाउन मदत गर्दछ।

नीमको फल, फूल र पात बराबर लिएर मसिनो गरी पिंध्नु र शर्वत जस्तै १ गिलास पानीमा घोलेर पिउनु, यसरी पिएमा २०्३० दिनमा सेतो दुबी ठीक हुन्छ ।
प्रसुति कष्टमा
नीमको जरा गर्भवती स्त्रीको कम्मरमा बाँध्नाले बच्चा सजिलैसँग जन्मन्छ तर बच्चा हुने बित्तिकै जरा फुकाएर फ्याकिदिनु पर्छ ।
क्यान्सरको घाउमा
नीमको काठ पानीमा चन्दन झै घोटेर बाक्लो लेप गर्नाले क्यान्सरको घाउ पनि निको भएर आउँछ ।

Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli on Monday said his maiden visit to India this week is aimed at bringing bilateral ties back on track by clearing “misunderstandings” even as he defended the new Constitution, opposed by Madhesis, as “inclusive and democratic“. “There were some misunderstanding in the relations with our neighbour [India] and we have to correct the misunderstanding and bring back the relations on track. For that I am visiting India soon,” Mr. Oli said ahead of his eight—day visit to India starting on February

Mr. Oli’s much—anticipated visit to India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes days after agitating Madhesis, largely of Indian—origin, ended their crippling protests and blockade that had soured the bilateral ties. “My visit to India is aimed at normalising the past uneasy situation and also to further promote our age—old ties,” Mr. Oli said in his address at the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) special workshop on “Democratic Transition in Nepal“. “The year 2015 remained a landmark in our history as we were able to promulgate the new Constitution despite the hardship facing the people due to the five-month-long blockade in the country’s southern border, even after suffering from the devastating earthquake that hit the country ten months ago,” Mr. Oli said.

मानिसलाई यौनसम्पर्कले दिने सन्तुष्टिका कारण बढी फुर्तिलो र तन्दुरुस्त बनाएको अध्ययनहरूले देखाएका छन् । यौनसम्पर्कले मानिसलाई कमजोर बनाउँदैन । बरु यसले मानिसलाई अझ फुर्तिलो र तन्दुरुस्त राख्छ । मुख्य प्रश्न यौनसम्पर्क कत्तिको स्वस्थकर छ भन्ने नै हो ? यौनसम्पर्कबाट तपाईंले कत्तिको सन्तुष्टि प्राप्त गरिरहनुभएको छ ? यो नै महत्वपूर्ण विषय हो । पुरुष वा महिला दुवैले बिहानपखको यौनसम्पर्कपछि शरीर शिथिल र कमजोर महसुस गरेको धेरैको अनुभव छ । रातिको आरामपछि बिहानको समयले शरीरलाई दिनभरिको विभिन्न काम गर्न ऊर्जा थपेको हुन्छ । बिहानको यौनसम्र्पक पछि स्वभाविक रूपमै केही ऊर्जा वा शक्ति खर्च हुन्छ, जसका कारण शरीर कमजोर भएको अनुभव हुन्छ तर यसले शरीरलाई कुनै हानिचाहिँ पुर्‍याउँदैन ।
तपार्इंको कुरा सुन्दा यौनसम्पर्कबाट तपाईंले अध्यधिक सन्तुष्टि लिइरहनुभएको बुझिन्छ अन्यथा तपाईंले त्यसको मात्रा बढाउनुहुन्नथ्यो । स्वस्थ र नियमित यौनसम्पर्कले मानिसलाई अझ जाँगरिलो, जोसिलो र फुर्तिलो राख्छ । यसले मानिसको उमेरजन्य बूढ्यौली पनि कम गर्छ । मानिसलाई तन्दुरुस्त राख्छ । हालै मुसामा गरिएको एक अध्ययनमा नियमित यौनसम्पर्कले स्नायु तन्तुहरूको विकास राम्रो भएको र तनावयुक्त हार्मोन निर्माण कम भएको पाइएको छ । नियमित यौनसम्पर्कले मानिसको भावनालाई पनि सशक्त बनाउँछ र मानसिक तनावको तह घटाउँछ । सन्तोषजनक तथा स्वस्थकर यौनसम्पर्कबाट कुनै पनि जोडीले भोलिपल्ट तनाव घटेको महसुस गरेको पाइएको छ ।

संसर्गअघि आपसी कुराकानी, दु:खसुखका वातचित, भावना साटासाट गर्नु र पाक्क्रीडा आदिका माध्यमबाट सकारात्मक ग्रन्थिहरू सक्रिय हुन्छन् । त्यसले गर्दा मानिसले हरेक समस्यासँग जुध्ने क्षमताको विकास पनि गर्छ । यौनसम्पर्कको चरम आनन्दमा बढीभन्दा बढी पुग्ने मानिसहरू अरूभन्दा आकर्षक व्यक्तित्वको र स्वस्थ पनि हुने पाइएको छ । त्यसैगरी हस्तमैथुनबाट चरम आनन्द लिने मानिसहरूको रोग प्रतिरोधात्मक क्षमता बढेको अध्ययनहरूले देखाएका छन ।

बेलायतमा गरिएको अर्को अध्ययनले त यी दुवै आनन्द लिने विधि प्रयोग गर्नेहरूको मृत्युदर ५० प्रतिशतले कम रहेको औंल्याइएको छ । त्यसैले यसबाट कमजोरी हुन्छ भन्ने कुरा सत्य होइन । बरु शक्ति प्राप्त हुन्छ भन्नु उपयुक्त हुन्छ ।

आफ्नो साथीको चाहनाअनुसार र उसको मागअनुसार पनि सम्पर्क गर्नु श्रेयस्कर हुन्छ । आफ्नो पारिवारिक सम्बन्धमा असर पार्ने गरी वा सामाजिक सम्बन्धमा वा काममा असर पर्ने गरी यसको अभ्यास गर्नुहुँदैन । त्यस्तै यौनसम्पर्क स्वस्थकर हुनुपर्छ, सुरक्षित हुनुपर्छ । दुवै जना चरम आनन्दको अवस्थामा पुग्नुपर्छ । यसमा जोडी दुवैको सक्रियता र सन्तुष्टिको हिस्सा पनि समान तहको हुनुपर्छ ।

After a woman Speaker of Parliament and a woman President, Nepal now has a former guerrilla commander as a Vice President.Nanda Kishor Pun, 49, became Nepal’s second Vice President by winning a vote in the parliament on Saturday. He succeeds Parmananda Jha and is the first Maoist to become Nepal’s deputy Head of the State. Early this week, Bidya Bhandari had created history by becoming Nepal’s first female President.Parliament Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar, herself a former Maoist guerrilla, announced Pun’s victory. He defeated the NC’s vice presidential candidate, Amiya Kumar Yadav, with 325 votes. Yadav secured only 212 votes. Despite being backed by the ruling coalition of UML, UCPN(M), RPP (N) and MJF (D), Pun’s victory was not a foregone conclusion. The UCPN (M) had supported UML Chair KP Oli and Vice Chair Bidya Bhandari to become Prime Minister and President respectively, and it was expecting the leading party of the ruling coalition to reciprocate. -  

Grand Dog Show’s fifth edition

The fifth edition of the Grand Dog Show is scheduled to be held at the Saatdobato Swimming Complex, in Saatdobato, Lalitpur, on Friday, February 19.The show has been organised by K9 Dog Training & Care, Bullet Dog Breeder and Pawasative Pet Solution—organisations which have been working towards the classification, rearing, training, and welfare of dogs in Kathmandu, since 2005. The first edition of the grand Dog Show was held in 2005 and after a hiatus of six years, the organisation rebooted the show from 2011.Till date, the organisation has organised programmes such as: how to feed your dog trainings, free dog obedience trainings, K9 KukurTihars, among others. The fifth iteration of the dog show will see competitions like a puppy show, cross-breed show, dog ramp show, dog item show, among others. The event will also feature kennel club stalls, pet accessories stalls, food stalls and free grooming and medical check-ups for pooches. The show starts at 10 am. All attendees will be eligible for a lucky draw door prize of a Japanese Spitz pup -

The storyline is simple yet carries a strong message rightly staged in the backdrop of present urban Nepali society that sees no easier option to earn money than going abroad.

Writer-director Aaryem Nakami’s experience with dozens of comedy outings in his early career is best utilised here in telling an otherwise hardcore melodrama with generous dose of humour that comes as a saviour. While we have seen Nakami repeating his little jokes in many of his past movies, Tuyumati is more fresh and a comparatively an unexplored territory, at least thematically. Nakami’s shifting interest to ethnic story-telling in more recent years is what lends Tuyumati its artistic touch. This, together with the film’s technical finesse, which can be rated above any average Nepali movie, makes the two hours fifteen minutes extremely watchable.

Besides trying hard to be a cultural extravaganza revolving around heritage sites and traditional settlements with an ethno-musical complement, Tuyumati shines partly due to flawless acting by who can be very well considered seasoned actors by now.

Even after coming back to films after decades, Manish chooses a female title — Tuyumati which means lady with clean thoughts — which proves that it was never meant to be a one-man show, which gets materialised by the female leads sharing equal amount of screen space with that of Manish’s.

दिदि यो समाजमा पुरुष यौनकर्मी छन भन्ने कुराको प्रमाण के छ त ?
म जस्ता धेरै महिला छन बहिनि यहाँ जसले पुरुषलाइ यौन साधनको रुपमा प्रयोग गरेका छन | हामीलाई यो कुरा स्वीकार्न गार्हो हुन्छ तर बास्तबिकता यहि हो ,महिला यौनकर्मी हुन्छन भने त्यसकै तुलनामा पुरुष पनि हुन्छन | महिलालाई बेश्या उपनाम दिने यो समाजले ,सोझा महिलालाई बेश्या बनाउने पुरुषलाई किन केहि नाम दिन सक्दैन ? के महिला आफु एक्लैले यो सब गर्न सक्छे ?
म बाट के आसा गरेर यो सब भनिरहनु भएको छ त ?
कुनै आसा छैन मेरो | महिलाको मात्र प्रचार गर्ने यो समाजले पुरुषले गरेको कामको बारेमा पनि थाहा पाउनुपर्छ | महिलालाई बेश्याबृति गरेको आरोपमा यो समाजले मात्र हैन मिडियाले पनि खुलेर बिरोध गर्दछ ,तर पुरुषले गरेको काममा किन मौन छ त ? यस्ता कुरा मिडिया बाट पनि आउनुपर्छ ,र सबैले थाहा पाउनुपर्छ ,यो समाजमा महिला मात्र हैन पुरुष पनि यौनकर्म गरेर आफ्नो जिबिका चलाइरहेका छन |
कस्ता खालका पुरुषहरु यो कार्यमा संलग्न छन ,थाहा छ तपाइलाई ?
जस्तो अवस्थामा महिला यो दुनियामा प्रवेश गर्छन त्यस्तै हालतमा पुरुष पनि यो दुनियामा आउछन | धेरै जसो बाध्यता र केहि आत्मसन्तुष्टिका लागि | यौन व्यवसाय गरेर घर परिवार चलाउने पुरुषको संख्याको कमि छैन | हेर्दाखेरि हाइ प्रोफाइलका जस्ता देखिने मानिसहरु पनि यो व्यवसायमा छन | म अहिले ४० बर्षको भए ,बिगत १० वर्षा दखि मैले यो देख्दै आइरहेको छु | बेरोजगारी युबाहरु यो क्षेत्रमा नराम्रो सग फसेका छन | जसलाई अब उत्रिन गार्हो हुने अवस्था छ | यदि तपाई चाहहुनुछ भने म त्यस्ता धेरै पुरुष हरुलाई भेटाइदिन सक्छु ,जसको आयस्रोत मात्र यौन व्यवसाय छ |
कस्ता ठाउमा भेटिन्छन त यस्ता पुरुषहरु ?
महिलालाई जस्तो यिनीहरुलाई सबैले सार्बजनिक रुपमा यहाँ छन र त्यहाँ छन भनेर कसैले भनेका छैनन् | तर पुरुष यौनकर्मीको संजाल महिलाको भन्दा कम छैन | बिशेष गरि यिनीहरु बिदेशी ग्राहकको पिछा गर्छन | नेपाल घुम्न आउने बिदेसी महिला पर्यटक नै यिनीहरुको आम्दानीको स्रोत हो | नेपाली महिला हरुभन्दा विदशी महिला खोज्छन यिनीहरु | तुलना गर्ने हो भने महिला र पुरुष यौन व्यवसायबाट संकलन हुने रकम बराबर नै हुन्छ होला |
दिदि तपाई यौनकर्मी महिला होकी हैन त ?
म यौनकर्मी महिला हैन,मैले अरुलाई प्रयोग गरेको हो ,मलाई अरुले हैन ,यदि यौनकर्मी महिलालाई प्रयोग गर्ने पुरुषलाइ पनि यो समाजले यौनकर्मी पुरुषको नाम दिन्छ भन म यौनकर्मी महिला हो भन्न पछि पर्दिन | महिलालाई प्रयोग गर्ने पुरुषलाइ यो समाजले सधै माफी दिन्छ भने म पनि पुरुष प्रयोग गर्ने महिला हो ,मलाई नि यो समाजले माफी दिनुपर्छ |
तपाइलाई चित्त नबुझेको कुरा के हो त ?
यौनकर्मी महिलालाई जसरि यो समाजले बेश्याको उपनाम दिएको छ त्यसैगरी यौनकर्मी पुरुषलाई पनि यो समाजले दिने उपनाम खोजेको हो ? यौनकर्मी महिलालाई बेश्या भन्ने यो समाजले यौनकर्मी पुरुषलाई कुन उपनाम दिन सक्छ ?
म थोरै बोले ति दिदि धेरै बोल्न थालिन ,मलाई यो बिषयमा आफुले केहि गर्न सक्छु जस्तो लागेको थिएन ,तर कता -कता यो कुरा मनमा रहिरह्यो ,बास्तबमा त्यो दिदीको कुरा सहि थियो | यो समाजले यौनकर्मी पुरुषलाई दिने उपनाम के हो त ? महिलाका जस्तै बाध्यता र बिबसता हुन्छ पुरुषको पनि ,कोहि पनि मान्छे यौनकर्मी बन्न चाहदैन तर बाध्यता र बिबसताले मान्छेलाई त्यो ठाउमा होमिन बाध्य पार्छ |
महिलाहरुले किन प्रयोग गर्छन त पर-पुरुष भन्ने कुरा पनि एकातिर छ | जसरि पुरुषले महिला प्रयोग गर्छ ,त्यसैगरी महिलाले पुरुष पर्योग गर्नु नौलो हैन तर यस्ता कुराहरु हाम्रो समाजमा गौण रहन्छ | लोग्ने साथमा नभएका महिलाहरु आफुले पुरुषलाई प्रयोग पनि गर्छन भने पुरुष बाट प्रयोग भइएका पनि छन |
तर जति महिला माथि आरोप र सामाजिक लान्छना लगाइन्छ त्यति पुरुषलाई लगाइदैन | आखिर पुरुष पनि त यौन व्यवसाय गर्छन भने महिलालाइ मात्र यी सब दोष लाउनु उचित हुदैन |
ति दिदीको अनुहारमा यस्तै भाव थियो | मैले धेरै कुरा सोध्न चेस्टानै गरिन | जति उनीसग म आत्मिय हुन थाले त्यति नै उनले मसंग यो बिषयमा सत्य कुरा बाहिर ल्याओस भनेर धेरै आस गर्छिन भन्ने मलाई थाहा थियो ,जसको लागि मसंग अहिले कुनै क्षमता छ जस्तोनि लागेन | तर अन्त्यमा एउटा कुरा सोध्न मन लाग्यो |
दिदि ति पुरुषहरुले पनि तपाईसंग सम्झौतामा काम गर्छन हो ?
उनीहरुको पेसानै यहि भयपछी बिना पैसामा काम गर्दैन | मैले बुझे अनुसार उनीहरुले ५-१५ हजार सम्म लिन्छन | बिदेशी संग त अझ धेरै लिन्छन भन्न सुनेकी छु | सुरुमा बाध्यतामा यो क्षेत्रमा आएका उनीहरु यसरि फस्छन कि चाहेर पनि उम्कन सक्दैनन् |
अहिले पनि तपाई यौनकर्मी पुरुष संग नजिक हुनुहुन्छ ?
नजिक छु ,तर अब म यो ठाउबाट पर पुगिसके | सुरुमा साथीको संगतले यो ठाउमा आए | पुरुषलाई आफुले प्रयोग गर्न पाउदा गर्व पनि थियो | मैले जितेको महशुश गर्न थालको थिए | पछि थाहा भयो म गलत गर्दै रहेछु भनेर | अहिले म यो ठाउमा छैन तर आफुले गरेको काम भुल्न सक्ने पनि हैन | त्यस्ता धेरै पुरुष सग अहिले पनि सम्पर्कमा छु तर प्रयोग गर्ने कुरा बाट अलि टाढा छु |
मैले केहि समय पहिला पनि यौनकर्मी पुरुषको बारेमा एउटा लेख पढेको थिए | नाम ठ्याकै याद भएन | तर उस्को कथा र व्यथा रोचक र घोचक थियो | रहरले कोहि पनि यो ठाउमा आउदैन | परिवार पाल्नुपर्ने बाध्यता र बेरोजगारीको कारण नचाहेर पनि महिला अथवा पुरुष यो पेशा अंगाल्न पुग्छन | तर पुरुषले भन्दा महिलाले बढी लंछित हुनुपर्ने अवस्था छ |
हाम्रो नेपालमा देह व्यापारलाई मान्यता दिएको छैन तर यसको छुट्टै संजाल छ नेपालमा गौण रुपमा | समाचारमा सुनिए अनुसार मसाज सेन्टर नै यसको अखडा हो | बेला बेलामा यसको बारेमा चर्चा सुनिए पनि पछि आफै सेलाएर जान्छ | नेपालमा पनि यौन व्यवसायमा मान्यता दिने ,निश्चित क्षेत्र तोकेर ,त्यो क्षेत्रमा मात्र त्यस्तो गतिबिधि गर्न पाइने भन्ने कुरा पनि थियो तर त्यो कुराको पनि बिरोध भैरहेको छ |
यौन ब्यबसयालाई कानुनी मान्यता दिने कुरालाई नेपालमा लागु गर्न त्यति सजिलो पनि छैन | परम्परागत धार्मिक मूल्य र मान्यता बोकेको ,र आफ्नो छुट्टै पहिचान भएको मुलुकमा त्यस्ता कामले कानुनी मान्यता त पाउन सक्दैन | तर यौनकर्मी महिला पुरुषलाई कानुनले सजाय दिएको पनि त्यति सुन्न पाइदैन |
तर जे होस् यो समाजमा महिला मात्र हैन त्यसकै हाराहारीमा पुरुष यौनकर्मी पनि छन भन्ने कुरालाई भने हामीले जानकारीको रुपमा राख्दा हुने रहछ | यी दिदीले भनेजस्तै समाजमा पुरुष पनि यौन व्यवसायमा संलग्न छन भने उनीहरुलाई पनि यो समाजले एउटा उपनाम त दिनैपर्छ ? जसरि यौनकर्मी महिलालाई बेश्याको उपनाम दिईएको छ |नेपाल जापान डटकम बाट साभार

For a country devastated by the earthquakes in April and May last year and widespread suffering brought along by India’s unofficial blockade, Nepali football team has given their countrymen something to cheer about.Nepal beat perennial rivals India 2-1 in their own backyard to win football gold at the 12th South Asian Games on Monday. The victory ended a 23-year wait for gold in football at the regional Games.It has come as a big relief to Nepali football that was dogged by corruption scandal and match-fixing of late.On December 4, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) imposed a life ban on five Nepali footballers, including skipper Sagar Thapa, vice-captain Sandeep Rai and goalkeeper Ritesh Thapa, for their involvement in match-fixing.  

PM Oli leaves for state visit to India

Kathmandu, Feb 19-Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has left here for New Delhi today on a six-day state visit to India, leading a 46-member team. The Prime Minister is visiting India at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.Before Prime Minister Oli’s departure to India, Speaker Onsari Gharti and Deputy Prime Ministers saw off the PM at the VVIP longue at Tribhuvan International Airport. Similarly, Chief of constitutional bodies, ministers, parliamentarians, high-ranking officials of the government, chiefs of security bodies and chiefs and representatives of diplomatic bodies were present at TIA. On the occasion, the Nepalese Army presented a guard of honour to the Prime Minister Oli. This is Prime Minister Oli’s first visit to India after this election to the post of the PM following the promulgation of new constitution. PM Oli is accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kamal Thapa, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet and chief political advisor of the PM, Bishnu Prasad Rimal. Likewise, National Reconstruction Authority Chief Executive Officer Sushil Gyawali, members of various political parties in the Legislature-Parliament, Chief Secretary Dr Somlal Subedi, secretaries, high-ranking government officials, media persons and representatives from the business community are part of the PM’s entourage. During his stay, the PM will attend a reception to be hosted by Ambassador of Nepal to India, Deep Kumar Upadhyaya, to mark the 66th National Democracy Day at the Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi, today. PM Oli is also attending a special ceremony taking place at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on February 20 and will observe an honour guard to be offered by the Indian Army. Thereafter he will offer tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at his memorial at Rajghat. -

Nepalese Footballer -Bimal Gharti Magar

Bimal Gharti Magar (born 18 September 1997) is a Nepali footballer who plays as a forward for Central ANFA Academy which is an academy controlled by the All Nepal Football Association and the Nepal national football team. He is the youngest player to ever play for the Nepal national team since Rohit Chand made his debut at the age of 17 in 2009.
Magar was born in Nawalparasi,Panchanagar 2,Nepal. Magar was selected by the All Nepal Football Association to join one of there academies in Butwal but after his performance for Elite Boarding School in the Subroto Cup which was held in New Delhi, India in which they won the tournament and the 2012 AFC U-14 Football Festival he was selected to join the Central ANFA Academy.
Magar made his name for himself during the AFC U-14 Football Festival in 2012 for Nepal’s under-14 football team. After his performance under-14 coach, Sunil Shrestha, said “Bimal is one of the brightest prospects in Nepalese football”.
Magar made his international debut for Nepal’s senior team on 20 September 2012 against Bangladesh at the Dasarath Rangasala Stadium in an international friendly in which he became the youngest player ever to represent the Nepal senior national team at the age of 15 years and two days old. Nepal national team coach, Krishna Thapa, said “He is a very young boy. He played well in the first match. I can’t demand more from him in the first international match”.
He is the youngest player to play on SAFF game and he scored his first goal against Pakistan on the injury time. Nepal Head Coach, Jack Stefanowski said “A 16 year kid became hero of Nepal, he’s no more a kid, he is an actual Hero, he is our Neymar”.

The tiger mauls ‘roomie’ Timur the goat

Best buddies Amur the tiger and Timur the goat, sharing an enclosure in a safari park in Russia’s Far East, have fallen out big time with Timur receiving treatment after Amur messed him up.
“Timur is currently in good health, he says hi and promises to be less cocky from now on and advises other goats to keep it smart,” park director Dmitriy Mezentsev said in a press release.
The park published a 30-minute video, showing what had happened step-by-step. We break down the half-hour-long slowly unfolding drama for you.

The video starts with happy-clappy images of the goat and the tiger together. They became pals in November and have been attracting attention ever since. When the staff tried separating the two, they wouldn’t have it: Amur roared at nights suffering the loss. So they were reunited.The brazen goat went as far as scratching his horns on Amur’s delicate fur. He spent hours doing it, annoying the patient tiger further, until he couldn’t take it anymore and snapped at Timur. The video shows Amur jumping up and mauling the goat for a few seconds before throwing him to the ground and turning away.

Football team arrives in Kathmandu || 2016

The team landed at the domestic terminal of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at around 4:45 pm this afternoon. Earlier today, they arrived at Jhapa on a bus from Darjeeling-based, Bagdogra airport, India, following their flight from Guwahati. All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) organized a victory rally in the honor of the team that won the South Asian football championship after a long gap of 23 years. The rally begun at TIA and reached Dashrath Stadium passing through Tilganga, Gaushala Chowk, Ratopul, Gyaneshwar, Lhotse Chowk, Kamalpokhari, Putalisadak, Padmodaya turning, Exhibition Road, Rastriya Sabhagriha, Bhadrakali, Sundhara, New Road Gate, Bir Hospital, Bhotahiti, Jamal, Keshar Mahal, Narayanhiti Museum South Gate, Old Buspark, Bhadrakali, Sahidgate, Tripureshwar and concluded at the Dashrath Stadium where ANFA organized a special program to honor the team. -
